Today, His Excellency Justice Charle Abyei Jok the Chief Administrator of the Abyei Special Administrative Area, held a significant discussion with Ms. Suzan Janet , the gender advisor for UNISFA, centering on the critical themes of women, peace, and security. The conversation primarily addressed UNISFA’s role in promoting and facilitating peace-building and security efforts in the area.‎‎Following the meeting, the Honorable Rech Daniel Ador, the Commissioner of the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission, expressed that their discussion with Ms. Suzan Janet was exceptionally fruitful, particularly concerning the involvement of women in the local peace process. He emphasized the importance of integrating women’s perspectives and contributions to foster a more inclusive and effective approach to peace in Abyei.‎‎His Excellency Justice Charles Abyei Jok, the chief administrator, Reiterate this sentiment by highlighting the vital contributions of women towards peace efforts, specifically in relation to dialogues aimed at reconciliation between the Ngok Community and Neighboring communities, including the Twic of Warrap State and the Misseriya of Southern Kordofan in Sudan.‎‎The chief administrator further stressed the necessity for UNISFA to support women’s peace initiatives actively and to facilitate processes led by women. ‎‎This call to action underscores a commitment to enhancing the role of women in peace-building, recognizing their unique contributions as essential to achieving lasting stability and harmony in the area.‎‎
