On the first day of January 2026, His Excellency Justice Charles Abyei Jok, the Chief Administrator of the Abyei Special Administrative Area, had the distinct privilege of participating in the New Year’s prayers commemorating the arrival of 2026 AD, an annual celebration held at the Mading Achueng church in Alal County. He was accompanied by officials from both the executive and legislative branches of government.
