Juba- On 29th to 30th October, 2024, Hon. Aluel Achuil Kiir, the Abyei Minister of Gender, Child and Social Welfare participated in a two (2) days capacity building training on Digital Security and the use of Social Media in Juba.
The two (2) days capacity building training was facilitated by the Centre for Inclusive Governance, Peace and Justice (CIGPJ) a local none profit, none-political and a none governmental organization registered within South Sudan with support from KARAMA and funded by NORAD.
The Centre for Inclusive governance Peace and Justice (CIGPJ) operates within the ten (10) States and the three (3) Administrative Areas of South Sudan, in the areas of Peace Building, Transitional Justice, Human Rights, Women leadership and Governance.
The aim of the capacity building training is to equip participants with sufficient knowledge and skills necessary to navigate digital landscape, safety and effectiveness while leveraging social media positive impacts, understanding common digital threats and vulnerabilities.
